In December 2023, Development and application of a fully automatic multi-function cassette module Mortenon M1 for radiopharmaceutical synthesis is published in the Annals of Nuclear Medicine journal. This marks that the research and development achievements of Norroy sub-brand Sunmao Medical in the field of nuclear drug automation equipment have once again been recognized internationally.
In the field of nuclear drug preparation, manual labeling and packaging carry the risk of radiation exposure and synthetic failure, and the yield and quality are affected by the skills and experience of the radiochemist. At present, most of the automated synthesis modules on the market are only suitable for the radiolabelling of small molecules and polypeptide drugs. Mortenon M1, a multi-functional synthesis module independently developed by Sunmao Medical, complies with GMP requirements and can be remotely operated under software control to achieve automatic radiolabeling of small molecules, peptides and antibody drugs, and has the functions of solid target nuclide separation and purification, automatic packaging of nuclides and waste gas treatment. This integrated function is the first in the world.
The aim is to develop and test a safe, stable and efficient fully automatic multi-functional radiopharmaceutical production module system. In this paper, all aspects of the module are introduced in detail, including the application of integrated cassette, automatic flow and technological characteristics. The practicability and reliability of the system have been verified through the synthesis of radiogenic drugs, preclinical experiments and MicroPET imaging experiments, which is expected to help reduce the risk of radiation exposure and ensure the stable production and supply of radiopharmaceuticals.
Annals Of Nuclear Medicine, published by SPRINGER, is an international journal in the field ofnuclear medicine. The journal is known for its high academic standards, readability and global reach.
